    • Consume fruits and vegetables since these are rich in antioxidants, such as vitamin C and vitamin E. Antioxidants protect our bodies from environmental toxins and pollutants. As a result, your lungs will be less at risk of damage and disease.
    • Eat foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids, such as salmon and cod. These play a role in reducing inflammation, thereby improving the function of the lungs. 
    • Follow a well-balanced diet plan incorporating various vitamins and minerals. These ensure a strong immunity to protect your lungs from infections and diseases. 
    • Include protein-rich foods in your diet, like meat, poultry, and legumes. Protein is crucial for strengthening your respiratory muscles. 
    • Incorporate more iron in your diet. It is the mineral to which oxygen binds for its transport through the body. Adequate iron intake promotes optimum lung performance.
